Hello Rob, that'll be Jochen Rindt if I'm not mistaken??
He died in the 1970 Italian GP at Monza when the front inboard brake shaft on his Gold Leaf Lotus 72 broke, locking the front wheel and throwing him into the Armco barrier at the high speed Parabolica bend!!
He had already accrued enough points before Monza to remain unbeaten at the end of the season and I think it was Jack Brabham who was runner-up in the Championship that year??

Correct TH, it was indeed the great Jo Ramirez, one of the great behind the scenes personalities in Formula 1!! Over to you mate??
Good guess Diddy, but no coconut this time my friend. Ron Dennis was the top dog at McLaren as Team 'Principal', whereas Jo Ramirez was the Team 'Manager'.

Ok Since 1975, car 'No.1' has been exclusively reserved for the reigning world champion. Since then, Who is the only driver to drive car 'No.1' whilst not being a world champion? Where and why?

Would say Ronnie Peterson, but that was 1974 after Jackie Stewart retired.
But I'm guessing that it was a sub driver for one race!
