Hello again TS58,

Sorry but I forgot to mention this and please forgive me for hijacking your thread but it is relevant!! I wanted to say that I am glad that you made the point about there being NO REAL COLOUR ISSUES with the red paint and the fact that it all blends together when viewed as a whole, which just goes to show that DeAgostini and Kyosho were in fact, right when they said that there was no problem with it and that customers would be very happy with the model when it was completed.

I am an artist and I fully understand how the human eye perceives colour including the fact that slight differences in tone can be effectively neutralised if looked at next to and within a broader area of very similar colour, and that is exactly what DeAg/Kyosho were on about when they said it would be fine at the end if everbody waited to see how it all turned out, since they had a completed model to look at and could see that there was NO real problem, where as we as builders didn't have that facility and to be honest, they did TRY SEVERAL TIMES to explain to the doubters that they were unnecessarily jumping the gun!! Even McLaren who gave DeAg the licence to produce the model stated that they were happy with the colour, by all accounts, but would the regular whingers listen - NO!!

That's a BIG poke in the eye for all the moaners that wouldn't let it drop, eh?? LOL LOL LOL

Thanks for the compliments.
Apart from a couple of errors it went really well.
I think the thing which i found most disappointing in the complete build was the Mercedes logo which goes on the nosecone, the thin plastic film does not really go on that well,a water based decal would have looked far better although in saying that you really don't see much of the decal when the upper element is in place.

That is the only thing that really baffled me on why DeAg did that with the Logo!!! and it lets it down..
