I've been fitting the second deck (issue 14 ) and some of the pieces haven't quite fitted so I've had to "adjust" them slightly to fit by enlarging the notches cut into the deck pieces. Is this "normal" or has something gone wrong ? It appears that some of the second deck pieces may have been machined slightly out. Secondly, when fitting the second deck it appears to slope upwards slightly at the stern. Is that how it should work or have I messed up on something. I did fit the deck supports as instructed but the very last support appears to be slightly higher than the rest. Appreciate any comment.

As MWG says, there shouldn't be any major adjustment needed. Can you post up a photo?

It wasn't a significant adjustment......just a very very slight enlargement, I'll try and post a photo but all it will show is just a slightly larger gap between the deck "notch" and the rib.

Mike, if it helps I have just removed the black ash from all the sections of the 2nd deck. Did a dry fit, it was a little tight but no more than that... certainly didn't move the ribs at all when dry fitting which to me was a good sign....Hope this hels...  Regards Alan

Thanks for the responses, as I said it wasn't a significant difference, it was just that up until now everything has fitted perfectly and it certainly didn't move the ribs at all, I just need to slightly re-adjust the notches, but it looks O.K. anyway....see what happens when it comes to fitting the 3rd deck.
