I have my keel made and sitting in the jig and have glued it now with the bracing pieces and all seems good. I have my ribs all glued and sitting in their places. Is it necessary to make the jig as per the magazine to insure perfect allignment of the ribs. It is not mentioned in any of the builds. Has anyone done it like that ? Dont want to waste my time if its not necessary. Thanks folks.

Neon, I would suggest you have a good read through some of the other diaries, there are a number of examples where builds have gone wrong and ended up out of alignment or twisted. Ensuring a straight keel and properly aligned ribs along all planes are a critical part of the build, get this wrong and you will end up with bigger problems further down the line.... Regards. Alan
