To my horror i couldn't find my pin push and the only hammer i had was a huge claw hammer.Not good...My wife came up with the ideal solution which may help someone else....A toffee hammer which had been in the draw for years.I filed the head smooth and it was the perfect weight for the job.

 Hi nice idea that works well, I was in modelzone today browsing and they have small hammers for sale there but as there on the expensive side a look to see there weight and a browse online might be a good idea regards Andy Current builds:-C57,Zero, Lamborghini Countach, Caldercraft HMS Agamemnon,Robi,R2-D2, MFH Cobra .

I was going to use a toffee hammer and then I found a freebie hammer I got from somewhere.

I used my pin vice to drill a small pilot hole and then used a pin punch to gently push the pin home.

Hi, I prefer a pin pusher, but some of the pin heads were too large for my pusher. I use a jewellers hammer, it has 6 interchangeable heads and was only £4 on EBay, it also has a nice long head and is only 10mm diameter, which is ideal for tight spaces.
