Hi All iv noticed several times in various posts over the time iv been a member here that people ask about airbrushes and whats the best thing to get, also iv read and heard of the ebay so called bargains with compressors sold as new but need expensive repairs, well this is what iv just bought off the web for £75.95. Oiless silent piston compressor,Gravity feed dual action airbrush, bottom feed airbrush and 3m hose + an airbrush holder.Im sure there will be comments on this item but as a brand new item i think as a starter set you cant go far wrong. regards Andy arpurchase attached the following image(s): Current builds:-C57,Zero, Lamborghini Countach, Caldercraft HMS Agamemnon,Robi,R2-D2, MFH Cobra .

Hi All As i said to comic123 heres some pics of the kit as recieved,i had an e-mail this morning saying delivery would be between 9:50 and 10: 50 the well packaged box arived at around 10:10 am.full instructions came with the compressor and a 10% of coupon on your next purchase was also included. The airbrushes supplied are of the cheaper end of the market but i expected this, the proof of the pudding will be how they perform when used. All in all i cant fault this package as a starter kit, I have to say the the service from airbrush is excelent, all comments and questions are welcome regards Andy arpurchase attached the following image(s): Current builds:-C57,Zero, Lamborghini Countach, Caldercraft HMS Agamemnon,Robi,R2-D2, MFH Cobra .

Hi Andy, How are you getting on with the airbrush set after 6 months use. Is it still just as good. I see it's down to £67 now. Mal. Mal.

Hi Mal I haven't had a problem with the kit the set up of the bottom feed airbrush wasn't too hard after I realized that over tightening of the hose stopped the flow of air and some problems of my own making with cleaning the gravity feed airbrush the tip here I think is when you think its clean do it again . As for the compressor works perfectly every time once the preasure is set it only kicks in to maintain the set preasure so its pretty silent most of the time[its not that noisy either].All in all I would recommend it, its a good beginers set I think and quite a fast service as I received mine the next day after ordering, hope this helps regards Andy Current builds:-C57,Zero, Lamborghini Countach, Caldercraft HMS Agamemnon,Robi,R2-D2, MFH Cobra .

I have been using this set for about a year, and I had trouble with the bottom feed, would only work with the low pressure hose the thin one,but the real important part is clean it,clean it,and clean it again.and be very careful when you extract the needle, the lever inside can drop out. Sorry to hijack the thread but I'm not allowed under any circumstances to use spray paint indoors by SWMBO ass she not fancy Kure grey or yellow ochre walls I understand of course that an airbrush gives better control but would it cause me to end up sleeping with the dog no over spray. Gaz, They do make mini spray booths with turntable to extract all the vapour and fumes out the window with an extractor vent.Wether the vent kit comes with it on this site, i'm not sure. Yes Karl and Andy, i've read that most of the time taken is not the spraying but the cleaning afterwards, that's why they recomend compressors instead of cans, as you can use a lot of the air just for cleaning. Up to now i have been looking at the spraying kits on Airbrushes.com but they have been quite expensive, and when you add spray boothes, masks and cleaners, it can add up. That's why i was looking at this kit, because it doesn't matter how expensive the kit is, it doesn't make you a good painter; only practice. ( it may help, but it's a lot of money to start out with ) Mal. Mal.

I use a reasonably cheap Badger airbrush and compressor. I have to say that it makes any painting job much more satisfying and the results, even with minimal practise will be excellent right from the start. The control that an airbrush gives means that you will not get paint everywhere and Gaz your wife should not worry about paint accidents even without a spray booth. If you can get the deal over there that has been mentioned on this thread I would not hesitate for a minute to get one. Even the cleaning is not a big chore if you go about it correctly. Acrylic paints can be easily cleaned with water and a little thinner, if you use inks then its even easier.

Hi All Karl I got my bottom feed to work on the high preasure hose by just lightly tightening it,i found to much tightening cut off the air,as for a spray booth I got the 1 mentioned on page 2 of tool sugestions [second from bottom now]an extraction/vent kit is also available I have found it to be very good no spray mist hanging in the air when in use and the filter is very easy to clean aswell. Hope this helps regards Andy Current builds:-C57,Zero, Lamborghini Countach, Caldercraft HMS Agamemnon,Robi,R2-D2, MFH Cobra .
