Hi All,
Can anyone recommend a building Jig for the Suprise? I've been looking at the Billing Boats Building Slip "397" and wondered if that would do the job. Of course the price of £50+ isn't something I would like to pay out THIS side of Christmas. So, any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Also does anyone know WHY this company takes so long to ship orders? I personnaly find their delivery schedules rather frustrating.

Thank you for your help
Regards,
Richard

hi the borg, surprised you asked that question, forgive the pun,but why not make your own,I take it you are a modeller, you need to be to take on the surprise, there are many examples of jigs in the build sections, all very cheap to make, and very simple too.the only commercial one I would recommend is the slec aircraft one,as it gives you the options of where to put the brackets.
Current builds: SotS, USS Consitution, San Felipe, D51 loco, HMS Surprise, RB7, Arab Dhow, Jotika HMS Victory
Completed builds: HMS Pickel, Thermopylae, Mississipi river boat, Mary Rose, Cutty Sark, San Francisco II, HMS Victory x5, Titanic Lifeboat, Panart HMS Victory Launch, Hachette Titanic, Virginia Schooner, Endeavour Longboat.

as for the delivery times, are, sporadic, don't forget that these models are all imported, and with a customer base running into thousands, delays will occur with stock issues,us oldies have more or less got used to this, and have had to learn patience in the old fashion sense.meanwhile why not get a smaller one for practise? good luck.

I got my parts pretty quick after ordering think about 3 weeks. I'd suggest building your own jig too...have a lock in the sovereign of the seas builds or any others and that should give you some ideas of what to do :)
