Does anyone know if you can reposition decals after they have been placed, and left to dry. I have also used the Micro sol and sel (which by the way are the best things since sliced bread).
I have placed the main strips on the nose cone and 1 side appears ever so slightly lower than the other. It is a very small amount and I can live with it but I am a perfectionist and wanted to ask the question.

I'm nearly there and loving this car.BigGrin BigGrin BigGrin

Thanks, Lee

Hi Lee

I think if you have only used microset (blue one) you can get away with it by applying more microset, but once microsol (red one) has been used the decal becomes part of the paint, by applying more microsol you might be able to remove the decal but it will get damaged. Warthog or Tomick might have other ideas.

I have a similar issue to you I've applied the decals with microset/sol and I was happy at the time but when I looked the next day some of the alignments are not perfect but it is something only I will notice.

Okey Dokey. As I feared, yes unfortunately I splashed the micro sol over it before I noticed but thanks for the heads up Smeg. Never mind as you say its only something I will notice and it still looks great anyway. besides I would prefer to live with this than ruin the transfer completely.

It can be so ease to try too hard to make something look a little bit better and end up ruining it, the trick is knowing when to stop.

BigGrin Great advice mate! Probably one of the best quotes of the whole build. I have gone through 5 front wings and 3 rear wings trying to look for 'perfection'!Just going to go for it now and finish the car in the next few weeks.BigGrin

I had a 'Santander' decal fold on me the instant i dipped it into some water when applying the decals to my build the other day. Ive tried everything to 'unfold' it but in the end i kind of cut it so i have 'ander' on the left side airbox...Blink 'Sant' is still immersed hoping it might just unfold itself one day soon!

Other decals ive noted sometimes when left in water unravel themselves, but it appears this one still hasnt so im a bit miffed LOL

I must put some pics up, its all decalled ive only the aerial to attach and clear coat it and its finally done!
