Hi all...Frame 24/25.. the big mystery...why is it that practically no one building this model shows any detailed images of the last two stern frames? Its always, always the front end !!! Heres my question...is frame 24/25 tilted back at an angle in line with the sternpost or is it upright at 90 degrees like the other frames? Ive attached photos of both options. I can only assume its tilted back to accomodate the stern cabin structure, please let me know. Also, if they are tilted back, are the stern collars, 26 & 27, level with the deck or tilted back with frame? The instructions are vague and dont make any reference as such. Once Ive sorted the 'mystery frame' dilemma, I'll be uploading lots of images so others can see what needs to be done. Thanks so much for your help!

Tommo.

hi tommo, check out magpies build, link below, I would not glue those frames yet until you have the deck, this would confirm to me that the frames are upright, but sure someone who is building the surprise will contact you.

Hi Karl,

Thanks for your reply. I will be looking out for responses. Those two frames are not glued to the keel yet, also I have a spare set of items 24,25,26 & 27, so I have open options!

Best wishes, Tommo.

Hi Tommo,

On page 18 of the instructions, it shows frame 24 as being angled, as you have to cut part of it away, if you want a copy PM me your email address and i will send them to you.

You angle the last one back, daft as it seems as it puts a slope on the deck of the great cabin, but it looks okay when you get into it.

Well, I made it upright and the stern most area flat. It allows the floor of the Captains cabin to be flat. I ended up taking out parts of the uprights in order to get the gunports in the correct positions.

See pages 1 with leveled stern and then 2 showing the captains cabin with checker pattern
