I have completed up to the deck beam installation (issue 12) and I am about to install the deck pieces 40 - 42 (issue 14).
I have dry fitted and everything aligns perfectly except for the deck beam at rib 26. This is a little higher than all the others.
Problem - if I lay the deck flat, it misses the beam at rib 22. The only way to get a fit is to curve the deck, but the beams will not tolerate that pressure. I am apprehensive about trying to bend the deck first to fit. I don't trust my skill in that.
Is it intended that the deck be curved up at the stern?

yes it should be curved, the deck beams should hold Processing - Progressing

I agree with AAS it should curve, the beams look thin, but mine took the bend with no problem. If you are really worried, put some support under the beams (this will be hidden), as others have done, see the build diaries of MWG, Gandale etc.

Peter, the beams will take the pressure of the bend in the deck but I would still strongly recommend adding additional supports under the beams... simply belts and braces, better to be safe than sorry..... Hope to see some of your progress though....
