Im just curious, unless i've done something wrong, how do the planks between the gun ports (green)stay in place? seeing as they're not nailed there, should i of glued the sides of the planks together?  (image from italian forum) Processing - Progressing

you do indeed have to glue the sides of the planks together,and take great care when you cut out the gunports,although I believe there will be ply sides on the sots,with gunports already cut out which will make the planking easier.that is why you shouldn't go steaming ahead with these part builds,I tend to be two to three weeks behind when I get to the planking. Current builds: SotS, USS Consitution, San Felipe, D51 loco, HMS Surprise, RB7, Arab Dhow, Jotika HMS Victory Completed builds: HMS Pickel, Thermopylae, Mississipi river boat, Mary Rose, Cutty Sark, San Francisco II, HMS Victory x5, Titanic Lifeboat, Panart HMS Victory Launch, Hachette Titanic, Virginia Schooner, Endeavour Longboat. http://www.model-space.com/gb/

Thanks Karl, i thought that might be the obvious solution, the bamboo planks seem pretty tough to cut through, i think i'll be using super glue to hold the planks together. thanks for the reply :) Processing - Progressing

You must glue each plank to the next plank as well as to the frames, which is mentioned in the official build..

ah i see, i had a look at the official build i guess i missed that part. Thanks for the advice dominic, i think i'll take it and used wood glue instead. As a note, i haven't made any decisions which aren't fixable :). Processing - Progressing

I would be eternally gratefull if you could tell me how you enlarge the pictures from the italian forum i'm not brilliant on computers and have tried with no success.

 Mornin' NMBROOK If it is a web page to enlarge text, pics etc (zoom in) hold down "CTRL" key and press the "+" key to zoom out "CTRL" and "-" Hope that helps (unless you have a Mac)

Thankyou Budgie will use that alot now.Unfortunately the dimensions were blurred when enlarged.Last time I tried to download the instructions the computer wouldn't let me but tried again last night and no problems,I have updated my laptop inbetween so that must have done the trick.

The way i did it was open it in photoshop, i didn't acutally zoom in, i cropped it because the images are pretty big, but yeah if you download the images they're much much clearer :) Processing - Progressing
