Thanks Rob, and I hope everythings okay now.
Now here goes with my question:-
During his F1 career, Nigel Mansell took part in 5, F1 grand prix's at the Suzuka circuit.
How many races did he win there, and how many finishes did he achieve?

I think he took part in six, but only started in 5 due to crashing out in 1987 in friday qualifying.

1987 DNS
1988 ret
1989 ret
1990 ret
1991 ret
1992 ret
1994 4th

So one finish, and that wasnt even a full season in 1994!

if memory serves me correctly, he was leading some of the 1990 race, after Senna and Prost had there little 'incident' at the start, but banjaxed his driveshafts coming out the pits after a tyre stop...

My little book of info on Nigel Mansell, says that he started 5 races and retired in all 5 races including 1994.
After just checking on Wiki, it seems my book is wrong, and you are indeed correct in saying that he finished 4th in 1994.

Its now over to you, and my little book is going in the incinerator LOL

Yes, 1994 was the race that was pretty wet, Hill needed to beat Schumacher, which he did (was the race stopped and restarted? i seem to recall it may have been, and was done on aggregate) and Mansell and Alesi had quite a battle for 3rd.

At the time after Mansells lacklustre performance at i think France? This kind of vindicated his return. He was been paid more per race than Hill got for the season IIRC, Mansell attracted a massive, and i mean massive crowd at Brands when he first tested the FW16 during the season. Quite incredible.

Coulthard had the car for the other races after Senna was killed, but Mansell won in Austrailia.

Question coming soon :-)

Easy one for you guys Cool

Who am i?

I wasnt successful in F1 but did win a major race in another series. I did something rather daft during my F1 career which gave another 'unknown' his first F1 drive. The rest, as they say, is history BigGrin
