Hi All!

Haven't seen this film (try to steer clear of musicals!!) but I've seen some clips on the TV and one of them was a scene in a dry dock with what appeared to be the Victory in the background. Does anybody know if scenes were filmed in the Victory's dock?
I just wondered since the background ship was definately black and yellow whereas most French warships of that period were black and red. Confused

I can't abide the musical either, much to my wife's despair. But, I do know it was filmed at Portsmouth Naval Base, so it was the Vic.BigGrin

The opening scenes were shot at Portsmouth with what looked like the Victory in various positions and states of repair. A lot of other scenes of "Paris" were shot at the Royal Naval College at Greenwich. And before you ask I have seen the film, and enjoyed it!
