Hi guys im new to this and am looking into at building the hms victory. I would like to know what tools ill need to construct this ship. And where to buy them.

hi you can always buy them from ebay you need this, pin vise, needle files,modelling saw,craftknife,sandpaper or sand block, tweezers,superglue,wood glue, range of paints,filler,plank bender, pin pusher 3mm or 2mm, pencils, modelling cutters /sprue cutters.

I know you will spend a bit on tools but they are all essential.

Hi Mick and welcome to the forum.

Many years ago I stayed in Sydney with relatives, during my time there I found a brilliant model shop in the centre of Sydney. I can't remember exactly where it was but it was one of the big main streets possibly George Street? It was a huge shop with the model section down in the basement. If (and I mean if!) it's still there, you'll find most of the tools you'll ever need, it was a far bigger shop than any I've ever seen in this country and with tons of exotic kits we never saw over here.
