This is indeed very disconcerting. I subscribed online and when I did not get any response to my email query I tried to call the contact number given in their publication but no pickup. Now it seems their office has shifted and they have a new number. Called and was told that my name has not yet been updated in their records. Seems there is a huge backlog. Wondered whether they actually received my registration. At this rate I am wondering when we will receive the issues and freebies...

Ahooyyyy Mates... Got myself issue 1 - 5 already but I have started building it... plan do do it once I get 10 issues in hand... much more fun to do it that way.. Just wondering, is there a list of tools and paints available for me to advance purchase before I start building... I would rather take some time and spend some money acquiring all the necessary tools and paints before I start this project... I don't wanna start and halfway have to put things on hold cos i dont have the correct paint... any help?

Hi all, I just went to the Allscript's office today to get issues 5 to 13 I had subscribed a long ways back, but had not received a single delivery. Called them up, they had my details on their computer, but somehow my address was not on saved. Just glad I went there to get it sorted out. They have moved to their new office in Subang (USJ12) - had to rely on my trusty GPS to get there  You will get the free magnifying glass at Issue 12, and the final free gift (ie toolkit) at Issue 16 Whee...I'm going to be enjoying my build for the next few weeks  Cheers all, and a Happy New Year folks

i am only up to issue 5... Kinda slow in getting the magazines here in Sabah.. Only one newstand selling it.. can't wait to get until issue 10 before i start building.. planning to start during the CNY break...

I'm hailing from Borneo, so i guess going to Allscript's office is out of the question. I just got Issue 7 today from the local bookstore. A few questions 1. I heard #13 is out already. Is Issue 7 the latest we can get from the bookstore at the moment? 2. I do sometime visit KL, and when i do, can i get all the older issues i missed? Or get a friend to get it for me? 3. How often does the issues will be release for East Malaysia? If #13 is out and the local bookstore here just received #7 about 3 days ago.... so i guess we're not receiving 4 issues like what was mentioned in the website?  Gosh, i got so many questions i cant think straight! lol Ps. Hey Sharma, I saw Issue 7 at Tong Hing Damai if you're staying in KK. You can ask them if they still have Issue 6 too.

I am in KK too... I get my mags from Harris 1B.. closer to home.. I asked them... they said issue 6 will arrive after the 15th of Jan... once they return issue 1-5 to the distributor.. then they bring in new copies... Btw.. any idea where to get the paint? still haven't started mine yet.. plan to get up to issue 10 then start building them slowly.. Hi,
Well, Issue 13 is definitely out in Allscript (I got it from them heh). At the local (west M'sia) newsstands, I have seem Issue 10 already.
Why don't you subscribe to the magazine? That way, you won't miss any issue, and they courier it to you free of any postage (not sure about East M'sia though). They will send in batches of 4 (ie once a month).
Lastly , another benefit of subscription is the free folder, magnifying glass and of course the most important, toolkit (with the all important plank-bending tool)

bro... i will be down in kl on weds.. is the office in Taman Perindustrian Sime UEP? Can i just walk in and buy the magazines there? Hi Sharma, Unfortunately i have no idea where to look for the paints. I might resort to paints from the hardware store  . I've mailed Allscript and sadly they don't sell paints for this model. Most model paints that i found are for plastic figurines(gundam, cars etc). I heard there might be some paints at Karamunsing. i'm gonna check it and probably hit a few more hobby/toy store, hoping for a few crafting tools too. I'll let you know If i found any. . Alright, managed to get some improvised stuff for assembly. I bought PVA glue, precision cutter, scissor, tweezers, extra holder with magnifying glass, clippers, cutting board and a table lamp . Most hobby stores around here sells tools for plastic model, so i end up hitting stationary store and the supermarket. I found some acrylic paints but not sure if the color is right for the project. All seems too.....bright. Next trip, to CKTan Hobby Store. Gonna check out if they have it. Anyway, i read in the forum that we can order paints for HMS Victory from DeAgostini too.

Anyone received issue 14? According to the manual, there are supposed to be 2 assembly jig support strips and 21 strips of thinner material. But I only have 1 support strip and 12 of the thinner strips. Although it seems like I can cut the strips into half to make up the numbers, I just wanted to check if the extra materials were missing.

You can try Tamiya paints. They are acrylic paint but can be diluted with water.
