Nope No8 is not wrong ....it's just the holding collar is slightly shorter on one side and from what i have checked with the planks and a straight edge ....it's all good....it won't effect the build as that part is cut off and discarded next issue.....hope this helps.... John....

The rudder part seems quite different than the one in the mag (insofar as there appear to be recesses for hinges on the parts we are supplied with, whereas the one pictured in the mag is recess free). Curiouser and curiouser.. Ho-hum. Schnellboots on back burner

Hi shipmates! Have you tried counting the parts of the laser cut ply sheet there is in fact 22 parts Two number 3 parts and Two 22 parts the laser cutter has done this and DeAGOSTINI haven't pick this up, just goes to show you can't delieve all you read. The picture show the same parts as we have so lets put this down to another mistake and see how it goes together! Some people can't count and others done check!. The question is in which country are the parts made in, think about it and you will probably get your answer. Not made in UK!.

Curiouser and curiouser..
Ho-hum.
I think the problem probably arises from the fact that the magazine was based around a sample/prototype kit and not the final production version. This is one of the problems of a part works that you can't just flick forwards a few pages in the manual to confirm these details. I assume there are some more parts to come to complete the launch and hopefully the tiller construction will become clearer. Perhaps Tomick has more information that he could share on this one? That's why I for one am not rushing ahead with the build, I would rather have a complete picture before committing too far ahead. Since receiving my issue 6 on Wednesday I am halfway through fitting each rib in the jig, allowing plenty of time for each rib to set at right angles before adding the next one. Mike T

No worries guys, the parts shown within the red box of issue 6 are set aside as per the info. Then at issue 8, (from the box), the Keel is installed, (which is part #18 but has no number). Then at issue 9, (from the box),the boomerang looking item is installed (bow brace), which is part #19 but has no number. Which leaves the following parts from the box within issue 6 to place - part #21 Rudder, 2x part #22 corner brace, no info yet as to which issue these parts will be installed at. For those querying the gluing of the two #3 parts in steps 6&7 of issue 3, you should not apply glue to the top of these parts, only at the bottom tab, when the jig is cut away at the end of issue 7, the two #3 parts should fall away with the jig. Hope this helps
