The nearest would be gold bare metal foil. You can get it from Grand Prix Models: http://www.grandprixmode...l--Baremetal-Gold-model

I was not happy wit the gold foil so I used normal kitchen tin foil behind yellow gel (the stuff used for stage lights) I think it looks much more like the insulating material used on the actual car. Look here http://forum.model-space...aspx?g=posts&t=3695 and scroll down to the pictures of the finished model.

Is that for it's possible use as a modelling medium or for it's more attractive attributes as a delicious foodstuff! Rob Nolli Illigitimi Carborundum!!!Current Builds: HMS Victory, SV Thermopylae

I've been experimenting with Ferrero Rocher wrappers Good crinkled gold foil, excellent taste and they come in really useful plastic boxes.

I can vouch for the Galaxy Caramel wrapping. It is just the right colour gold, quite a deep rich hue and when opened out it is quite a large sheet - very useful indeed!!

Don't bother with 'Roses' wrappers. While the gold foil is just the right shade (to my eyes anyway) they now print a logo all over it which would really spoil the effect I swiped several different wrappers from various boxes of Xmas choccies, and am going to choose the closest, when I can find time to do the last issue.....
