Here are photos to date, feel free to comment I have broad shoulders and I will put all sharp objects away before I read future responses. delboy271155 attached the following image(s): COME BACK GUY FAWKES "YOUR COUNTRY NEEDS YOU"

Belt and braces approach to the next deck supports in case I get to heavy handed fitting the deck itself. Have gone for three pillar supports for most, with two at the narrower bow and stern. delboy271155 attached the following image(s): COME BACK GUY FAWKES "YOUR COUNTRY NEEDS YOU"

THE GALLERY Having seen some of the problems with the fit of some pieces of the gallery in other builds, I went for a complete dry fit of all the parts first. To my surprise everything fit perfectly. I have at last found a benefit for delayed deliveries . This is the dry fit. delboy271155 attached the following image(s): COME BACK GUY FAWKES "YOUR COUNTRY NEEDS YOU"

The second deck fitting only needed one rib slot slightly adjusting, but some ingenious clamping to get the stern panels onto the supports. I used some scrap balsa to get the pressure in the right places and then used some big clamps to hold it all place . delboy271155 attached the following image(s): COME BACK GUY FAWKES "YOUR COUNTRY NEEDS YOU"

Well Hi All, Thought it was time for a bit of an update, so here goes. Done some more work on the ship`s boat, had some hassle with some out of date blackener, but think it come round to a fashion when using "Blacken It".The other good news is the ships first RUM rations have arrived, but don`t think it will last long enough for the launch party, may have to drink it This is where I am at with the ships boat at the moment. See first two pics. Well enough of that, it was time to get into the heady job of planking. As this is my first ever planking project it`s a case of slowly slowly. It was a Read, Look,Read again then do it. Here`s the stern start and end. Pics 3+4 Sorry second photo is a bit fuzzy. I then set about the fairing, also very carefully and then proceded with the first row of hull planks as below. Last two pics Well that`s all for now will update on planking in near future. Thanks for looking in. Regards delboy271155 (Derek) delboy271155 attached the following image(s): COME BACK GUY FAWKES "YOUR COUNTRY NEEDS YOU"

Alan Hi Alan, Thanks for the nice comments, keeps the building buzz going. As for the barrels I purchased them of ebay, they are 00 model railway scale which I think is about 1:72, not exact but pretty close for a small item. If you are interested look for the following: Item number:400395571682 I purchased these very recently at a cost of £2.00 + £1.20p+p for which you get 12 barrels in 3 sets of 4. They are only connected by a very small piece of plastic, so could be separated if required. Happy building, Regards delboy271155 (Derek) COME BACK GUY FAWKES "YOUR COUNTRY NEEDS YOU"
