Hi Andy! Your Akagi's truss and flight decks look realistic. I'm also looking forward to see painted them. For your reference I attach URL below. http://www.geocities.jp/sawatoshi201/WWIIN.html
You can see color pictures(?!) of the Akagi there. Although they were painted by using CG recently, the author whose handle name is 'mini07' is very famous among us so that several press companies requested him to provide his CG on their magazines. I think you will surely enjoy the pics if you can not read Japanese. Best Regards, Yutaro DeAGOSTINI 1/250 the YAMATO, 1/250 the AKAGI. Hi Andy! I guess you may know that only one type 2 flying boat Emily still survives. I happened to visit KANOYA before. There is JSDF base. I found the boat and took several pictures of it. I attach the pictures below. I hope you like them. Best Regards, Yutaro Yutaro HONMA attached the following image(s): DeAGOSTINI 1/250 the YAMATO, 1/250 the AKAGI. Hi Yaturo Many thanks for sharing your pictures of the 'Emily' a very nice subject for a model I think, as Ger C says you are lucky to be able to see her in the flesh but I guess you may think us lucky to have the Victory to look at here also regards Andy Current builds:-C57,Zero, Lamborghini Countach, Caldercraft HMS Agamemnon,Robi,R2-D2, MFH Cobra .

Hi All I haven't updated for a while due to other things keeping me away from modelling but here's some progress on the build. All the side platforms , guns and support column's have now been attached, as have the etch column's and braces at the rear and the deck added to the hull this was a challenge to fit as some parts had to be removed but luckily where they cant be seen and a little cutting out was needed to get thewell to fit on the hull. There is still a fair bit to add to the hull like life boats ect and some more etch to be added to the deck. The next job will be to make up the resin/etch bridge kit. As always all comments/questions are welcome. regards Andy arpurchase attached the following image(s): Current builds:-C57,Zero, Lamborghini Countach, Caldercraft HMS Agamemnon,Robi,R2-D2, MFH Cobra .

Hi All Just a couple of pics on progress on the etch tower/bridge kit, all the bits have been added and this is after the 1st coat of paint. I have to say this was a quite challenging build and although not perfect[ very thin and tint etch parts] it came out quite well I think .As always all comments questions are welcome regards Andy arpurchase attached the following image(s): Current builds:-C57,Zero, Lamborghini Countach, Caldercraft HMS Agamemnon,Robi,R2-D2, MFH Cobra .

Love it.... one question though.... how many lenses have you put on your optivisors?? .... would have to be a few to create that detail... .. Regards Alan

Hi All A little more progress made on the hull, most of the major painting is now done and the decals added to the deck [ note they have only been Micro set so far] the decal comes in 1 piece so is a bit of a challenge to fit I had a couple of breaks but managed to sort it ok I think . More etch has been added to the sides of the deck in the from of grills [can never get these painted without filling the holes ] and the deck aircraft wires and catchers are still to be added as is the bridge and a couple of small parts. After all the above are added then its time for a bit of rust and weathering, as always all comments/questions are welcome regards Andy arpurchase attached the following image(s): Current builds:-C57,Zero, Lamborghini Countach, Caldercraft HMS Agamemnon,Robi,R2-D2, MFH Cobra .
