Hey, I know most of you guys have already completed this but I've only just got my hands on the whole set of this mclaren (I built upto issue 15 a while back but now have all 85 parts!) So, I'm having a problem with issue 24. I'll just post a pic to show what is wrong: As you can see, the screws (ringed in red) are not flush and so the other screw (green) is struggling to tighten in properly and it doesn't seem to be moving whatsoever now). As a result I have quite large gaps (purple)and the rear suspension centre mount is loose and falls out of place (yellow). If I apply a force (Although relatively large, not just a touch) with my hands the gaps close and all is fine so what I am wondering is if I continue with the build will the whole rear suspension close the gap and hold it all in place or will everything be out of line? Any solutions? Thank you very much in advance

Hello mate, just to be sure, are you using the correct screws yeah? I know it's simple, but some times these things happen! Failing that, are your cv joints correctly aligned and in the right place? Have a look at Tomicks build, most of us used this as our guide rather than the magazine, He describes it in better detail!! http://forum.model-space.co.uk/....aspx?g=posts&t=2732Hope this helps The Brawn BuildWentworth Court Dolls HouseThe MP4/4 Build[ulr=http://forum.deagostini.co.uk/default.aspx?g=posts&t=36693]The 97T Build[/url]

I just loosened the screw in the silver oil filter and it has brought the gaps slightly closer together so now the gap is still there but not as large. Hopefully it won't cause any problems whilst I continue with the build Edit: Also now I have glued the gearbox housing top on, that appears to have helped too, especially with holding in the rear suspension centre mount.
