Nice find Chris!!! Drool Drool Drool

Such a shame that we live in an anti-smoking, politically correct, "do as your told" world today. If we didn't have to put up with all the do-gooders and spoilsports that like to mess things up for others, then that livery would still be a reality!!

My son has the 'Forza Horizon' game on Xbox 360, which I quite enjoy myself and I have done a Vinyl Group for a McLaren F1 Road Car in the 'Marlboro' livery with all the other logos and Senna on the side plus his flag!! Looks amazing but the graphics took ages to design and create!!

Looks pretty awesome......
With regards racing liveries - my own car is a metallic black Jaguar XK8 and as my own 'retirement' present to myself it's being 'wrapped' in the GT40 Gulf colour scheme of light pale blue and orange. I'm not going the whole hog with the logo's though, but I am having the white number roundels.
Can't wait......
I'll post some pics when its done.

Roy.

Here you go Chris, enjoy!!! All photos taken from my 42" Widescreen HD TV.

First up, my McLaren road car in a Marlboro scheme - my personal tribute to the awesome Ayrton Senna!! All logos EXCEPT the 'Shell' and 'Bridgestone' logos were designed and created by me on the games' own Vinyl Group Design facility and some took over 140 individual shapes to make in order to get it as accurate as possible!! If you look carefully, there is thin red line all round the edge of the wheels near the tyre, which hardly shows in the photos but it accentuates the red and white Marlboro scheme beautifully when it is on the TV screen. Luvverly!!:

Also working on a 'Pennzoil' Nismo Skyline lookeylikey!! Not yet finished, but nearly there. I've just noticed that the 'Z' in the Pennzoil logo looks a bit thin but it must be a trick of the camera as it doesn't look quite so thin on the TV screen and it is thinner than the other letters on the real logos anyway, so I'll live with it. I even had to design a decal that looked something like a double fuel filler on the back of the car. Not perfect but it looks convincing enough!!:

My Dodge Charger 'Dukes of Hazzard' General Lee lookeylikey:

My Ford GT Mk11 '66 Le Mans lookylikey:

This one was just a bit of freelance designing fun I had with a Bugatti EB110 whilst trying to make it look a bit like a 'one-off' fantasy McLaren/Bugatti collaboration. Has a fully upgraded 'R1' Spec Bugatti Veyron engine in it and does 274mph on the motorway stretches of the game, but VERY hard to control - an absolute monster!!!:

My Custom '57 Chevy - a work still in progress, love driving this around. It has a lovely deep 'burble' to the engine noise and feels awesome when you are cruising around in the internal 'Drivers View' behind the steering wheel!!:

... And finally my pretty little Jaguar 'D' Type which is also a work in progress:

I also have a black Lotus 'Evora' which I will be doing in a black and gold 'John Player Special' scheme, another Ford GT which I will be doing in the blue and orange 'Gulf' scheme, a Lancia Stratos which will be in the red , white and green WRC 'Alitalia' scheme and a few others when I get some more time!!

This really is an awesome game if you love cars and the designing side is great fun if you have any artistic skills!! Hope you've enjoyed them.

Love your idea of the Marlboro MP4/23 mate, should look fantastic when done and I'd love to see it - as long as it has the Senna name on it!!LOL LOL

Wish I had some parts I could donate to the cause mate and you'd be welcome to them, but I've only got one set of everything I'm afraid!! Sad Sad

Certainly wouldn't upset me Spencer - No Sirreee!!!

Go for it mate and as fantastic as your standard MP4/23 is I think the red/white Marlboro is going to look just amazing. It will also give you some practice in the scheme for when we get the MP4/4 ... and none of that blasted chrome to do either?? ThumpUp ThumpUp

Hello Kev
AWESOME pictures!
A great favour please, if its possible.....
I mentioned a few messages up that I'm having my XK8 'wrapped' in the blue/orange GULF colours with the white roundels, but MINUS the logo's/badges etc.
If you have a 2002-ish XK8 in your arsenal, would it be big headache to mock one up in Gulf colours so I can get a good idea of what I'm getting in a while????

All the best in hope, Roy.
