I am not clear as to wether the second of the threads should pass through the hole in the main top in the same direction as the first or the other way round.

bearing in mind that we will be adding snakings to the stays, if I pass the thread the same way the gap between the stays will narrow as it approaches the main top on the main mast

Advice please

hi gil,on mine,the stay and preventer stay are going round the mast head in opposite directions so you've got the width of the mast as your starting gap,and the two hearts that come from the walkway and bowsprit govern the gap the other end,don't worry if too big a gap,the snaking will adjust that, k.
