Would I be right in thinking that when the hull is planked it will be sanded to make it very smooth for the veneer planking. Might seem a silly question, the reason I ask is to gauge how much leeway I have as this is my first time.

BigGrin Hi Syd
you got it in one, from what I can gather from reports on the rounded edges of the bamboo some filler may be used to get it totally smooth ,if and when needed

Hi Syd, would think Mr T will keep us right on whether filler should be used because of the rounded edges of the planks... think we will find out soon enough. Think the finish would need to be spot on before we apply the veneer..... If filler is needed then I for one will be using it.... Good luck, am watching with interest.....Cool Cool
