Decided to waterline it, as i'm going to display it with the sales up in the sea .... it was a make or break chopping the bottom of the hull off, but happy with the end result tony@internetadz attached the following image(s):

Went to a restaurant in Auckland called "Tonys Lord Nelson" (it was in Nelson Street), but what was really neat was the paper plate mats and menu's with a great picture of the battle of trafalgar, so apart from great food and stunning service, I managed to get a few plate mats and menu's. So the current plans are to base my build off this tony@internetadz attached the following image(s):

Thanks for the support guy's, the plan is to do a diorama of the ship at sea, and similar to the above pictures in fighting mode. I have a mate who is an artist, so he is going to do the sea for me (now with canon shots in the water). I want to try and do this as as realistic as I can (so not a clean painted ship) . So if anybody's got any idea's they think I should try, please let me know. Definitely going to get Mikes enhancement kits, and would like to get a full complement of deck crew ( hey Mike another enhancement idea)
They only disadvantage of cutting off the bottom of the hull, nothing left to do for a few months, only got planks arriving in the latest issues

I bought a set of the HAT British Marines and Sailors, but at 1/72 scale (on the left) they were just too big .... so after reading robin idea of transforming HO 1/87 scale railway people into crew I thought I would give it ago, a bit of chopping, and filing later the first attempt didn't turn out too bad, and he 'll be below decks anyway (I'm sure the next will be better), so I ordered a bag of HO people from Ebay, out of China for about US$8 ... who needs a life when you can have this much fun tony@internetadz attached the following image(s):

Tony Very nice indeed. A good find with cabinet as units at this size are really very expensive. Look forward to seeing more of your build. Happy modelling Tony Happy Modelling
