This is a question for Tomick and/or Admin.
Looking through the various models available from ModelSpace I see that some of the kits can be supplied in fewer parts, with a higher cost per month. This is a great idea for those who do not want to wait two years for all the parts to arrive.
However why is this not available on all models? I am interested in the Akagi, but would like to either buy it outright or spread it over a shorter time, like the Yamamoto. the same apples to other models such as the Mclaren, now that it has finished in the UK. I understand that some of the kits are sold in other countries as partworks, but at the end of the day the price charged for outright purchase or lesser time would still be the same, so Deagostini would not be losing out, in fact they may end up with more customers who do not wish to wait two years or so to collect the parts.

I was not referring to retail kits but actual ModelSpace partworks. i.e The Yamoto costs £499.99 as a complete kit from ModelSpace. It is available as 11 months at £50 or 22 months at £25. Both these subscriptions work out at £550,but give you the choice of paying either £6.25 or £12.50 per week.
