Just out of curiosity, and noticing that the aileron covering is sticky paper which is meant to replicate the fabric and dope covering of the original control surfaces, Is the actual wing and fuselage skin going to be aluminium sheets/panels?

Thanks Tomick. Something for us to look forwards to getting to grips with for those who are skinning their zero. BTW - What do you recommend for painting the paper covered control surfaces?

The material is quite porous, so its worthwhile testing what primer and paint you intend to use on some scrap, to ascertain how many coats for the finish you want to achieve.

I wonder if you could use the same technique that they use for radio controlled gliders and use an aqueous varnish first.. there must be plenty of products for this out there..

you could use dope and tissue or nylon [ 1oz per sq metre] as used by modeler's years ago on airframes the nylon might be the best bet as it would look more like the fabric covering regards Andy Current builds:-C57,Zero, Lamborghini Countach, Caldercraft HMS Agamemnon,Robi,R2-D2, MFH Cobra .
