Yay will add your link to my first post, we will have a fleet soon I understand that supply can not meet demand at the moment for the MK1 upgrade. “Whenever you find yourself on the side of the majority, it is time to pause and reflect.” -Mark Twain

That makes sense there have been some very positive reviews of it and I suspect everyone's getting tired of waiting for anyone else to produce anything. It's worth the wait and it won't be long before you're cutting the 3 tabs on the minute Grab Handles and bending the 2 mounting feet on all 350 of them.

I have this idea that won't go away, of doing a Fairey Swordfish to go with this build. I'm thinking the Tamiya 1/42 with all the Eduard PE. It would be a kind of David and Goliath build. Anyone got any experience of this kit? I've just finished reading 'Killing the Bismarck' and I am inspired by the craziness of those Stringbags taking on the Bismarck and that one Torpedo that decided the fate of so many men and ships.

I have built that kit and it is really good straight from the box I also have the Tamiya expert build guide for it that you can have if you decide to build it. Regards Alan Not exactly 'Off and Running' on this one, more like thinking about getting up and going for a stroll . The Kit was a Birthday present and I'm really waiting to finish the X-Section before making a start, plus we are Lambing at the moment. So I have done a little work on the Hull, but that'll be it for a few weeks yet. I've started the Diary for discussion purposes and ideas as I have been doing research etc. Well that's the plan anyway.

My other reading/research material at the moment is Killing the Bismarck; Not a bad read but a little too one sided for my liking and the Maps are poor. http://www.amazon.co.uk/Killing...id=1363533035&sr=8-1German Capital Ships; About 100 good pictures of the Bismarck, plus text and of course lots of other ships too. http://www.amazon.co.uk/German-...id=1363533272&sr=1-1Ballards Discovery of the Bismarck; Can be found 2nd hand for next to nothing, some good pics of the wreck but some are artists impressions. http://www.amazon.co.uk/The-Dis...3533894&sr=1-1-spellKagero's Super Drawings; Fantastic for all that superstructure detail. http://www.amazon.co.uk/Bismarc...id=1363533556&sr=1-1I'm also probably going to get this too, http://www.amazon.co.uk/AK-Inte...id=1363533677&sr=8-1 So a little light Bedtime reading there

Mmmm.. lighting, I've just seen another build where the Spotlights are working and it looks pretty neat. I might go for that, as it did cross my mind some time ago. See round about post 5 http://www.shipmodels.info/mws_...ic.php?f=59&t=151888
