Hi Dominic,

Thanks.

The flash I think was brought more of the pattern out than normally shows.

I think the couch will be appearing in many more shots in the future, it is a nice soft resting place for the camera shootsLOL

Hi All,

Just an update on the planking, slow progress, as trying not to rush.

The pics speak for themselves. One or two areas not even, not sanding and filler should sort that out.

I have lightly sanded a couple o spots and it seems to do the trick.

I will post more photos of my progess at the weekend.

Thanks for looking.

Claret.

Hi All,

Been a busy two weeks, so not a great deal of progress.

Managed to cut and sand the infils up to issue 23BigGrin

Fiddly, with sanding a bit, not fitting, sand a bit more.

Thats all for now.

Looking good claret, almost there BigGrin If i might add because its hard to tell, but you might be needing to leave more bamboo planking at the end of the keel for the stern post, keep up the good work :)

Hi Claret,
The build is looking good WTG.

Would like to pick up on the Admiral`s point in the previus post, about the length of the stern planks past the end of the keel. I have left mine a bit longer than yours ,but I can`t find any reference to there being any set length to leave past the end of the keelConfused .

As a newbie to this maybe one of our more advanced members could clarify this point.

Keep up the good work Claret.

Hi Alan, AAS & Derek,

Thanks for your comments and pointing out the stern planking over hang. it does seem vague and i may have cut off more than i should have, over keen with the saw. Fingers crossedBlushing

Hi, I have made a little more progress with fitting the stern reinforcement, I followed gandale's method of gluing and sanding the profile, fiinding this much easier.

Hi,

Made some progess on the launch swell. I fitted 5 thwarts instead of 4 as I had an extra oar notch.

Does not look to out of place, I hopeLOL

I used a pair of compasses to get the correct length for each thwart.

Result as shown in the photo.

That's all for now.

Regards
Claret
