OK this is the final variation of the balustrades, not much difference from mk2, adjusted the scale to near perfect, refined detail at the top. pic 1 shows the finished final balustrade and pic 2 show the comparison between mk2 and final. The bad news lies in the fact that the extra work in detail in the final version is not noticeable to the naked eye (not mine anyway), the good news is that I can certainly live with that

This is my limit Karl

Love the balustrades they are work off class, and that big match you got from the art attack programme really sets it off LOL .

Well petpole thats a better compliment than you think, it an ordinary match, here`s a pic with it next to an ordinary pin, the pinhead is is wider than the balustrade by quite a margin

help Karl they don`t believe it

Just read your diary and must say that I admire your outstanding work!
That's really amazing and it shows incredible skill and patience. Will keep watching...

What kind of wood do you use for the tiny details, boxwood?

Kind regards,
Bernd

Tad bit more, built up around the top windows, the sill is still removable so as to make it easier to clad the pilasters

Cladded the pilasters on the centre window, slow going but no rush, you can also see the finish on the glass after 3 coats of Johnson's clear, I think it gives it a more authentic feel, it takes away that plastic look
