Hi Cliff What's your Czech like?? I thought I would do a quick Google and the only links I could find suggest that the kit only comes with instructions in Czech or the links were in Czech! Suggested also that the hull was solid wood which needs to be carved to a profile, so that will be different to plank on frames. Are you going to show us some more of Halifax? I have set mine aside while I have been making a stab at the launch for Victory, but I fully intend installing the rest of the cannon once the launch is ready and waiting for the next stages. Let us know when your Golden Hind arrives and whether there are instructions you can read! Cheers Mike T

Hi Mike,i'll get some more pictures of the Halifax up today if i get a chance,i'm still at the planking stage(first time i've done a hull this shape and it's a bit of a brain teaser).I saw your post on the 'Victory' launch and i am to follow your method and see how it come out and will post some photo's if it doesn't go pear shaped.I'm off to get my Czech phrase book out and do a crash course, speak to you soon, cliff. The kit arrived today, masts and spars missing but comes with english instructions.A lot of printed parts to be cut out(a good excuse to get a scroll saw as well as a lathe)and a lot of plastic parts so it could be a good kit for kitbashing once i get more experience. Hi Cliff Sounds like great fun and all for a tenner! If you are serious about a lathe, the one I got was recommended to me by Tomick. It is a Proxxon DB250 and is a smashing piece of kit! My latheHave a look at post #4 in above. Quite a lot of money but well worth it if you are going to be turning masts for several kits, I would have thought? Mike T
