Howzit guys

Started collecting the SOTS build on Saturday. What is a good shop around Pretoria?

I am looking for a pin vice as well as a few drill bits?

Howzit sandman. There used to be a decent model shop in menlyn retail next to the golf shop. Don't know if he's still there though.
Happy building.

Hi Sandman and welcome aboard.
You can try a few of these places
Jix Hobbies - Menlyn
Centurion Hobbies - Centurion
Models and All - Centurion

Hope these help. I normally go to Esswex Models in Norcliff corner.

Thanks guys, will definitely check them out tomorrow. I can't find the address for centurion hobbies. Do you perhaps know where they are?

Hi Sandman,
I bought my pin vice and drill bits from Tool & Allied (Toolquip). They also deliver in JHB!!! The quality is OK but the price is really good.
Hope this helps.
Kind regards,
Garth

Hi Garth,

I bought a pin vice from Jix last weekend and I must say I will definitely support them again! They were incredibly helpful and had a lot of expertise.

Will check out toolquip as well as there is still quite a few tools I would want to buy as my build progresses.

Regards
Hendrik

Hi All

I make use of Jix in Pretoria.

I am in a fortunate position, where I can order stuff from the USA and into is delivered to me here in Afghanistan. The online shops I use are Micromark and Amazon for the stuff that I cannot get at Jix as they cater mostly for aeroplanes, trains and R/C models. There are a lot of websites, but look around for the ones where the prices are acceptable and for bargains.

Regards

Andre
