Sorry if the title seems misleading but what else could I put:) For an understanding of the very early stages of building any model ship we have on this forum many links, hints and tips, a few drawings and pictures. I have found 3 video on youtube showing just the stages that we are all going to experience with the Victory. Forget the size of the ship here, ignore that this is not the Victory, but just see what is needed at this early stage...these 3 videos speak louder than anything that has been put up so far IMHO, I hope you agree and take something from it. Part 1 This covers the construction of the Keel and bulkheads. This is a video log of my construction process using the College of Model Ship Building practicum by lauckstreetshipyard.com. I am a novice/beginner model ship builder. I wanted to document the process of construction on my first real wooden model ship. http://www.youtube.com/w...grk&feature=channel
Part 2 This video covers instaling the wale strake, transom frame and preparing the bulkheads for planking. This is a video log of my construction process using the College of Model Ship Building practicum by lauckstreetshipyard.com. I am a novice/beginner model ship builder. I wanted to document the process of construction on my first real wooden model ship. http://www.youtube.com/w...8WY&feature=channel
Part 3 This video covers installing the first layer of planking. This is a video log of my construction process using the College of Model Ship Building practicum by lauckstreetshipyard.com. Here is the link to the site reffered to in the videos http://www.lauckstreetshipyard.com/index.html

Just a little bump, hope some of the virgin builders have seen these video's as they contain some views of how to sand the frames to contour the ship for planking.
