wow that was easier!!  btw, that pic is of the prototype of the caldercraft vic. post 1805,when they employed splinter bulwarks before battle. which I'm not installing, I think it spoils the lines. hi jase,that skylight is as supplied with kit, but has not been painted or varnished, the windows are the etched ones,and have been painted yellow for the photo's. but I do agree, they do look good. k. Hi Karl She's going to be a beautiful model (and a lot quicker to get there than mine will!)  I'm actually looking forward to getting back to the poop deck and building those extra bulwarks! Along with the forecastle bulwarks I find it makes her look so different to the well known Portsmouth configuration. I was looking through my pre-cut kit ply sheets for those four transom knees thingys and couldn't find them anywhere - then I checked in the build instructions and there are'nt any included! It's worse than I thought!! Keep up the great work Karl, always a pleasure looking in! hi jase,as I'm progressing I'm finding more and more brass mouldings to put on, I thought the rear and quarter galleries were finished, wrong! I've only just started,(groan) some are painted and some are not. the painted ones are hard to see as they are black. what I would like to say to peeps out there who are contemplating this build, think carefully, this is not for beginners, the instructions are sparse to say the least, example is :- the lanterns, they give you the part numbers, a sentence on bending them,and that's it, no location information and nothing on the plans, so I had to resort to research on the real vic. the instruction are only a hint,and the plans for the rest, and of course the order of the build. k.
