I think the dimensions are what you think is best. That's my attitude. If I question it I generally try to answer it myself. (Since I'm the one who has to live with it). But it looks like you're doing a very nice job. Those gratings and capstan handles are a lady. It takes a lot of dedication and discipline.

Hi Robert It looks to me[ but it may be the illusion caused by the pic] that you have 3 sizes or matching pairs there, the centre 2 look about the same size, then working outwards each way 3 and 4 seam to match as do 5 and 6 so you may be able to do something with them using them as pairs [5,3,1,2,4,6 as you look at your pic] Hope this is of help Regards Andy Current builds:-C57,Zero, Lamborghini Countach, Caldercraft HMS Agamemnon,Robi,R2-D2, MFH Cobra .

Hi I need help with the Ships rudder wheel, does anyone know where I can find part 207 rudder wheel shaft 3x7, and part 208, central separating axil 3x7 Walnut.
I don't want to cut any dowels as they my be part of the masts, lolRegards

Hi Robert the parts your looking for are made from some of the 3mm dowel you were supplied, these also make up parts of the masts but at 7 mm they supply the doweling over length anyway so you should be ok. Hope this helps. Builds in progress: HMS Victory.HMS Surprise. Completed builds: Revell London Bus 1/24. Builds to do:Sovereign of the seas, Hms Albion.

I made my own since I personally think the 3mm is way too thin. I went in at around 6mm which seems to be more to scale. I'm at the point where I don't follow the kit instructions any more other than as a reference. I go by photos of the Movie ship and make my best guess. So far it looks a lot better than following the directions.
