Thanks for the pic Karl and the heads up on detail but unfortunately this one did,nt come with that detail unless I make it myself or something. Another update on the beakhead which is becoming almost scratch built. Made new decking and sunk the panels into it. Once it is painted ,it wont look so badBigGrin

Fantastic progress there Moriarty! I know all about the beak heads from the DelPrado! They're real Cursing Cursing Cursing 's to scratchbuild but the result makes or breaks the entire bow of a ship like this. Yours is definately a 'maker'!
Well done!

The panel on the bulkhead comes as a more or less a printed piece of veneer and is wafer thin, not a lot I can do about it but the amount of rigging and stuff that goes into this area will hide most of it (hopefully)BigGrin

Another update now guys. The guns on this kit are a bit on the sparse side and I only have 8 of these and 6 smaller ones. Here are the 8 fitted in place. The plank running along the top is to compensate for the extra hieght in the decking, a difference of nearly 2mm so it would have looked stupid leaving it as original.

The main deck as it stands at the moment. I have made this so I can just slot it in when the bottom deck is complete. Most of the deck detail on this one will probably be fitted off ship.

Just a little tip guys. If you are running short of cannonballs a good thing to use is fishing lead weights as I have done. They come in big trays and will cover just about any scale and caliber. Select squeeze and install simples. They can also be used for the running bearings on mastsBigGrin .
