Hi all,

I have just received a response from the person I am in contact with at Eaglemoss.

Here is her response:

Hi Dale

This product has been tested in a small area, so you’re a lucky recipient for the first five issues early! However, I’m afraid it does mean you’ll have to wait til we launch in the rest of the country before being able to continue the collection – decision about this should be made imminently.

Best wishes
Emma

As you can see, at least we are getting a response and should hopefully know soon.

All the best,

NSCXP2005

--------------------------------------------------------------------

EDIT

I have asked her how long we may have a decision, weeks or months.

Here is the response I got from Emma.

Hi
Weeks hopefully – they’re still juggling with what else to launch and when.
Cheers
Emma

Hi to all,

I have been in contact with Eaglemoss and they have told me that this collection will be released in the Spring.

At least we know when to sort of except this.

All the best,

Right then, an update of sorts.

I emailed EagleMoss:
Hi there,

I've just noticed that your new youtube video shows the gtr as being able to order now, however the website says pre register only.

Is it correct that it is now on sale though?

Many thanks,

Trevor.

and they replied

Dear Trevor Bennett,

Thank you for your email.
We have not received a specific delivery date from the publisher as yet. We are accepting pre-orders and once we are getting more updates from the publisher we will keep you informed by post or email.

Kind regards

Michael

So they honestly don't have any idea when it's going sale.

How depressing.......

Partwork companies are very protective of new releases. The simple fact is that you likely won't know until it actually happens.

This is true for most companies, in my previous Job, there was a total lock down on new products until they were released. It was a sackable offense to talk about any impending release, 100's of thousand were spent on development and that would all be wasted if we were pre-empted by a rival. I worked in research and development and we even kept most other people in the company in the dark, we usually had an internal briefing for other staff a day or two before the actual release.

But the fact they've put out a youtube video a week ago of the partwork saying it's available now - http://www.youtube.com/w...tqg2Em12ERw&index=4 kind of puts the arguments to bed about secrecy doesn't it?

I'm very uneasy about Eaglemoss as a company given the issues they've caused people *still* waiting for parts for their DB5's.

How they can put a video on youtube saying it's available now, and it not be (and they no idea when it might be) is politely described as "confusing" at best.

Better stick with Deagostini products like my Hummer...

Just had a message on facebook from Eaglemoss. They're going to contact people by email in the next day or so to explain everything but they're aiming to send out the first dispatch in May!

Signed up for this before Christmas, wonder if that pre-reg carries forward, not heard anything since signing up
