Noseying around looking for more information of this new model,I came accross these vids on Youtube which you might find interesting. It looks exactly like our loco, same working features, even has Deag sticker on the base, yet isnt called a D51 but C62.Not being an expert Ive no idea if these are the same or not,but worth a look as some excellent mods, and some good shots of just how detailed this kit it as standard. It seems we even get some inside motion!

The C62 is another famous Japanese Locomotive. The C & D designations refer to the Axle/Wheel arrangements, 2-8-2 for the D series and 4-6-4 for the C series. Clearly there was a second model of the C62, which if the D51 is successful we may get tooBigGrin BigGrin.

Indeed it may, but not for quite a while as the D51 has only just pulled out of the Station.. BigGrin

I knew someone would be along shortly with a LOT more knowledge on the subject than me.
Thanks for clearing that up for us,so looks like when the D62's done (and we havent even got issue one yet) there may well be another brass fest waiting for us.
So thank you deagostini for keeping us all poor for some years to come!Laugh
