It's nice to be back in Europe and this is where the real development race begins!! Alonso has always done well at his home race and I think he will win this weekend since the Ferrari is about equal with the Red Bulls at the moment and a home race always gives a driver an advantage.
Red Bull are always going to be in the hunt for top spots this season and with Webber seeming to always be the one in that team with the bad luck  it is likely to be Vettel near the front at the end of the race, though I would prefer to see Mark do well.
Not sure that the Mercedes will do so well as it is a hot race and they seem to have trouble with the new tyres degrading when it is hot and Barcelona was notoriously bad in winter testing for tyre degradation.
McLaren have been saying that their car will be sorted by the time we get to Spain and that when they have unlocked the cars true potential it will be the one to beat? I think it will be greatly improved but not quite able to hit the front row just yet, - but definitely better - give it another race or two.
Lotus Renault will be hot and they seem to be able to get the new tyres to work and last better than anyone so I think they will be in it to win it and will likely be on the podium.

lol I'm with you Daran! Mclaren did set some good times in testing at this circuit with a non competative car, could we see a good result from the boys? I think DiResta is being over looked a little too, lets not forget he's shown great improvement this year, and he was just pipped to his first podium, I'll be watching him with a keen eye But you've got to suspect Red Bull / Ferrari / Lotus will all have strong qualy times, stick themselves up the front of the grid and everyone else will be strategy racing Nonetheless it'll no doubt be a great race, with plenty of overtaking!

At least Button and Perez made it into Q2, though Perez appears to be giving Button a run for his money.
Williams seem to have taken a major step backwards and their glory days long gone..

Jenson is renowned as a smooth driver but it's difficult to drive smoothly if you're wrestling with a car that constantly loses balance and wants to break away?? Perez is more like Hamilton or Schumacher where they drive a bit more aggressively/tail out and are used to a car suddenly snapping into understeer/oversteer, which will probably explain why Perez is further up the grid than his team mate in a car that isn't handling too well at the moment?
I think Perez will give Button some more trouble in the next few races but if and when McLaren get the car sorted properly, I see Button dominating Perez!!
Williams have gone steadily down hill since the glory days of Mansell then Hill/Villeneuve. I remember that when Williams announced that they weren't keeping Hill after the end of his Championship winning year ('96) Adrian Newey, who was their designer at the time, was so angry with Frank Williams and Patrick Head for yet again not supporting a British Champion - they also let Mansell go in the same way - and always believing that their team was about the car and not the driver that he walked away from Williams .... and the rest is history!!

You can pin-point Williams demise to Adrian Newey leaving the team, and just look at how he's put Red Bull at the top since he joined them.
Newey is without doubt one of that all time greats of F1 car design..

Made the right choice to move for qualifying but not for race pace!! I did think it was quite amusing when he came over the team radio and said he couldn't drive any slower Very difficult position to be in I've got no doubt though that in Monacco we're going to see our first safety car of 2013 No way are the Ferrari's, Red Bull's or Lotus' going to be happy stuck behind 2 tire nursing Mercedes It has always been a track with hardly any competative overtaking, is this likely to remain the case? Are all the positions going to be decided from stategy and pit stops? We shall see
