My decision to move the port was more to do with what I saw more than anything else.. Standing back and looking at the ports that had been cut out the port in question simply stood out and I initially thought I had made an error... Going back to check details on the mag all pictures showed the port to be more in the middle of the two ports above and didn't match up to the measurements being given.... Went onto the Italian forum and looked at some builds there and that too showed builders had moved the port.... Mr T's official build again showed the port more in the middle and at that point I decided to move it.....

I don't think moving the port will cause a problem with the chainwales as the height of the port has not been altered, if I find the strops end up being problematic then I think it is a problem that can easily be resolved.... The only decision necessary is to either go with the measurements or to go with the images... I chose the latter..

Regards

Alan

Finally finished cutting out all of the gun ports including the modification of adding an additional 4 ports at the stern.BigGrin BigGrin ... Next is tidy up a little and to move the previously mentioned port, cut down the height of the bullworks but I'm not going to cut it exact at this stage, I'm going to leave it still a little high as I want to ensure I have enough height when it comes to fitting the top decks..... Cool Cool .... More to follow later...

Regards

Alan

Thanks Andy, really appreciate your comments.... The build cradle is actually made of from the remainder of the frets we cut the bulkheads from.... Throw nothing away as you never know when it is likely to come in useful..... BigGrin BigGrin

I'm going to have to follow your lead on this, because as we add more to the superstructure, the more likely a topple over will become and the more damage it will do.Crying Blushing
I agree about not throwing anything away, but in this case the Wife was looking for some Kindling for the Wood BurnerCrying Blushing LOL
