Sounds like it's a Packing Error to me. You can get Customer Services to replace it or it's probably cheaper than the phone call to Customer Services to buy some 1mm Brass Rod on EBay for 99p.

i dont think so andy if you look at contents list in mag it says 2 axels i first thought they were longer but no theres only about a centermeter left when you cut them to length for first cannon

HI Benny,
I had a look at Mr T's build and the twin Cannon Kits on there seem to have only 2 Axles in the packet as well, as far as I can seeConfused. I wonder if they've muddled up the 2 Cannons, as we have had some smaller Cannons with only a single Axle. I guess this is a question for the Man himself then, Mr T.
But, as I say 1mm Brass Rod can be had for next to nothing, although the Kit should be correct.

But if you need 4 axles, you need 8 wheels. If you only got 4, that is a problem.

I remember reading some time ago, that when a "Man-o'-War" attacked and captured an enemy ship, it was common to "liberate" the ship of it's armament, especially if they had some nicer pieces, thus it was not uncommon for ships of the line to have guns of different manufacture and nationality. So, if you have any spare guns of approximate size, they could, perhaps, be put to good use and increase authenticity ?

I for one, have no idea if Sovereign of the Seas ever saw action though.

Both lengths of wire are cut in half = 4 axles for two guns as per 35, 36 and 37..

I was under the impression that you had to be very careful, cut each axle to fit and the little bit left over just does the cannon barrel so it sits on the carriage.

the ones i have are far too short to cut in half, if i did they would only just fit in the carriage but i wouldn't be able to fit the wheels on Confused

I just got issue 30-33 today. Issue 30 has a gun kit, an axle (too short to be cut in two) and two wheels. When I looked in the magazine, it showed ......... wait for it .......... a gun kit with axle and two wheels Blink Confused

Often where there are duplicate parts, the parts contained image may only show one item, but the description list notes the actual quantity..

You dont need a length for the barrel trunion, as the trunion is part of the barrel casting..

Whoops, my mistake, Blushing Mr T, I've just looked at the gun kit in issue 30 and it's a two wheel gun. Thank you for your help.
