Hi Yaturo Thank you for explaining the tool very interesting. You are very lucky to have the display case from DeAg Japan I don't think we will be getting that here in the UK regards Andy Current builds:-C57,Zero, Lamborghini Countach, Caldercraft HMS Agamemnon,Robi,R2-D2, MFH Cobra .

Hi Andy! Your building is very fine and beautiful as usual. By the way, there is something that is bothering me in your last picture (pic #1). DeAGOSTINI Japan announced that they had provided a wrong metal part(pic #2) in the parts set of issue 39 when they provided issue 93. A lot of Japanese builders had to remove the wrong part and re-attach a new metal part in the last stage. They showed us the picture of a wrong part(pic #2) then. The part on your Akagi is marked in the pic #1. The right part(pic #3) was provided in the parts set of the issue 100 that was a last issue. I am worried if your part is more resemble to the wrong part than the right one. I guess you are close to the stage where antenna masts are attached. Although a mast is never located above the gun (pic#4), a right bow side mast is located on the gun in this model(pic#5). Be careful. Hi Yaturo Yes I was aware about the missing projection at the end of the platform, im not sure if that part is to be reissued here though. As for the masts I had already noted that from one of your previous posts regards Andy Current builds:-C57,Zero, Lamborghini Countach, Caldercraft HMS Agamemnon,Robi,R2-D2, MFH Cobra .

Hi All received pack 22 yesterday so iv been busy filing metal frames and uprights. The last two deck parts are included with lots of cast metal work to be fitted so some deburing was needed and be carefull with the instructions as its easy to get things the wrong way round if your not paying attention. At the moment it mostly spraying parts up after construction so a few pics on progress regards Andy arpurchase attached the following image(s): Current builds:-C57,Zero, Lamborghini Countach, Caldercraft HMS Agamemnon,Robi,R2-D2, MFH Cobra .

Looking great Andy. Have you resolved your deck issue? “Whenever you find yourself on the side of the majority, it is time to pause and reflect.” -Mark Twain

Hi Jase I think I will be sticking the decks down it means I will lose the internals but as Yaturo says a lot of Japanese builders did this aswell and he hasn't moved the decks since he 1st built his and its now in a display case. Thanks for looking in and your comments regards Andy Current builds:-C57,Zero, Lamborghini Countach, Caldercraft HMS Agamemnon,Robi,R2-D2, MFH Cobra .

Thanks for looking in and your comments regards Andy I'm thinking the same for when I get to mine, but because I know they should be there I will probably still build the lift workings etc ...they may never see the light of day again but I will have the satisfaction that I didn't cut corners Rob Nolli Illigitimi Carborundum!!!Current Builds: HMS Victory, SV Thermopylae

Hi Rob I think its the best solution, I did look at using metal press studs [ the type used in clothing] as a solution, what gave me the idea is they were used on my 'Panic' aircraft to hold the outer wing struts in position and I never lost one in 5 years of flying the brute. It would take some planning to do [like getting all the decks to line up] but it is feasible. Thanks for looking in and your comments and knowing there there even if you cant see them is still an achievement[ lots of fitting them all in as they get smaller] regards Andy Current builds:-C57,Zero, Lamborghini Countach, Caldercraft HMS Agamemnon,Robi,R2-D2, MFH Cobra .

Hi Andy! I think there may be The Third Way for this issue. I made the central lift be a double floor structure. (pic #1) Although the reason I did it was different from a measure against the warped flight deck panels, this method might be applicable. Making a removable lift floor, even if the panels were fixed, we can easily see the inside of the Akagi when it's necessary. (pic #2) Best Regards, Yutaro Yutaro HONMA attached the following image(s): DeAGOSTINI 1/250 the YAMATO, 1/250 the AKAGI.
