Two questions really: 1. How are we supposed to get a good glue fix to the ribs, when the rib profiles are not flat at this level? Most have a curve or a "V" here, so the stringers will only touch the ribs at the top and bottom. This is puzzling me as the stringers have to be bent to a curve, putting strain on the glued joints. I could always add some pins or wooden blocks behind, I suppose - but I am puzzled why the ribs are not flat at this level, for a good fit? 2. Why are we instructed to fit frame 27, measure the stringers out to meet it, then cut them back to frame 26? Why not just measure them out to the end of 26 in the first place?

I think part of the answer is that there is an extra sub-frame, nr 49, that comes between 26 and 27. That's why the dummy gun support has to be cut off. It would get in the way. But like you, I don't see why they have it in the first place. cec
