Hi Claret,BigGrin
I can see what`s coming up and hope mine works out as well as yours. One thing though, did you rupture your achillies falling off the roof? Only it looks your building on a chimney pot.LOL LOL LOLFlapper

Hope you get better real soon and back to your build.

Hi Claret,
Sorry to hear of your misfortune. That is some very clean and precise cutting of the gunports. Its a slow job to do accurately, but well worth it as it can make or break the model.
Kind Regards Nigel

Hi Derek & Nigel,

Thanks for the kind words.

The chimney pots are garden ornaments, but ideal for supporting the model. Actually did it playing football, think I am getting to old for itLOL

Each port is taking over half an hour each, but slowly does it, don't want to mess this part up.

Claret

Hi,

I have completed one side of the gun ports. Took most of the weekend, sanding to size and trying to ensure the port holes were all level.

Pleased none of the strakes broke that are only supported by the ones above and below them in between the cut holes.

Results in the pictures below.

hope you like.

Hi Guys,

Thank you to all for your kind words of encouragement.

Starboard side all marked up ready for cutting.

Might get a chance to do some this afternoon/evening with the help of my partner again.

She helped a lot over the weekend fetching tools etc for me!
