Thanks for the comments much appreciated. As for the balustrades Alan just another 137 on the rear and then more on the sides at a later stage. Got a bit fed up so broke off to do half a strongman, as you can see only half done but won`t be going overboard with detail

As I continue with my scratch stern my thoughts have been on how to make the band that splashes across the top, thought about making it out of laminated strips or just carving it out of one piece, anyhow decided to carve, still work in progress, slowly carving it down to scale, at the mo its too bulky, have to slowly chip away till I get there otherwise it will snap like the twig that it is
