This may help you Andy,

Shells/ basic body colours - all calibres:

Olive green, olive drab or field grey: High explosive (only non anti-aircraft), anti-concrete, smoke, chemical or hollow charge shells, and case shots.
Black: Armour piercing shot or shell.
Yellow: Anti-aircraft high explosive shell.
Red and blue: Anti-aircraft incendiary shrapnel shell.
Pale green: Star shell.

This is what I will be doing with mine,
shell painted a field grey (greyish green color) , the bands are metallic steel color and the round bands near the rear of the shell should be a brass color.

Hope this helps.

Very nice work indeed Andy, as usual and I can't wait to see it together with your 'Morser' in a diorama. CoolThumpUp

I agree with Daran, the sag looks spot on and I note that you haven't connected the loose ends yet, so that will take a tiny bit more out of the sag anyway. Should be perfect Andy!! Cool

Great build can't wait for the weathering as I'm interested as to how to do this properly, so have been following your build from the start.
Keep up the great work Andy.

This should help Pete if you want to know how to weather AFVs step-by-step, very easy to follow and the technique can equally be applied to other genre like aircraft:

Hope that helps?

Very nice work Andy and to your usual high standard, well done!! CoolThumpUp

Have you planned anything in particular for the diorama layout or are you just going to let it evolve as you go along? Can't wait to see what you do!?

Keep up the good work Andy. Drool

BigGrin Hi All
I have now made up the crane parts and all the other little bits to add also the shells have been painted up. I also noticed the sag is different on each side on the tracks Blushing too late now but one side will be next to 'Loki' so it wont be noticeable [ I hope].
The crane shell carrier was a choice of plastic or etch I made up the etch version and also the plastic to give people an idea of the difference between the two the etch version looks more scale like and fits the shell exactly whilst the plastic version is over size in my eyes
Regards
