Hi Not sure if i have posted this before or maybe it was on the MSW site before they went and lost everyone's accounts. Anyway, I want to put my Vic on a shelf when finished but dont really have the space to have it sticking 14 inches or so out from the wall due to the main mast yards. Can this be displayed without the yards or with yards displayed separatetly? Or can the yards be turned horizontally a little to reduce the amount they stick out? Im sure i received a reply once about this from someone who displayed their victory with dropped top masts and no yards, was this anyone on here? Thanks for any info, Cheers Steve

hi steve, yes you can display anyway you please, but if you look at my build, you will see that I swiveled the yards to accommodate the width of the shelf, this is done whilst at sea when they a tacking a zig-zag course. http://forum.model-space...osts&t=472&p=25

Thanks Karl, I dont have any rigging on mine yet but im guessing there is not much room to angle due to the ratlines? Another thing is im not putting sails on mine so maybe it would look wrong at an angle with bare spars. Like i said on my first post i did see a pic of someones vic displayed with the upper section of mast dropped or lowered and the yards not on the ship but were part of the display along with the ships boats, wish i could find that again!
