Hi All,BigGrin

The delivery of my parts 34-37 is imminent, so I have been looking forward in the official build and build diaries to see what`s coming up.

During my searching I have noticed that the line between the upper and lower planking does not line up across the stern (I think).

Mr T in the official build has posted what I think is a pic from the mag.

Apologies for pic quality Blink

This picture shows where the lower hull planking should end on the stern, which is inline with the stern post, but the planking on the hull sides does not seem to be on the same line. Mr T`s build shows the line between upper and lower planking to be continual all around the hull.

So, is there an error in the mag picture or are my old eyes deceiving me.

Still got some work before I get to this stage, but thought I would ask the question to make sure I didn`t make myself more work than needed.

Regards

Its irrelevant, because when you lay the lower sapele planking it is smoothed flush with the upper planking and is later overlaid with the continuation of the lower gunwale strip.

You need to look at the stern and hull finishing/painting in 39 and 40 to see how this works out.

Hi Mr T,BigGrin

Many thanks for the info. I hadn`t looked that far ahead as it`s another delivery away, but will now to see how it works out.
