Hi guys! You are mostly all way ahead of me, so hopefully can tell me about my puzzle? Issue 13 - plank the stern, under the gallery and shape the plank ends to match rib 27. ??? If I do that, then the hull planking will have to be dead straight, from Rib 27 back to my gallery planks. Laying a plank along the aft ribs gives a nice curve, back to the outer gallery supports (30). So should the hull planking follow the curve naturally, right round to the end, or go straight for the last bit (about 45mm length at the top strake)? My own instinct is to cut the ends of the gallery planks much further in than a match for the next rib 27 - allowing the hull planking to follow round in a continuous curve. Of course I would have to do the gallery plank cutting piece by piece as I lay in the hull planking and see where it gets to. Go on, tell me I have missed a trick here but I can't see this issue mentioned on previous build discussions...

Hi C.D., I read that as, cut to follow the curve of the Rib rather than the exact size, so as you say, smaller to allow the natural sweep of the planking. I cut mine roughly oversize and then adjusted it as I planked.

Thanks Andy. Yes, I think that must be the way to go. It's just very unclear in the official instructions.
