Thanks Nigel. I love the Maple, it's not a wood I've used before, it cuts beautifully and although I haven't sanded it yet, I can tell it's going to have a lovely colour and finish. I haven't tried the Boxwood yet, but there's not too much of it. I'm also thinking of using African Padauk for the Gun Port linings.

You shouldn't have much problem with the black boxwood. The boxwood I used on the upper hull was 2mm thick, hence much fun Kind Regards Nigel

Regards Alan Thanks Alan. Quite tricky is very pleasing and very gratifying once it's in the past. I try to be philosophical about it and look at each plank or small group of planks as a mini project. Mostly it stops me from going off the rails

Regards Alan Thanks Alan you're not wrong there, but I'm finding it strangely satisfying. Each plank is a little problem/project on it's own. Passes the time whilst I wait for my next delivery.

Issues 38, 39, 40 & 41 have arrived So I now have the measurements for the Black Boxwood Planking. The build is now getting very interesting after the long slog of the Hull .
