Now with issues 38+ I'm able to step things up a bit. Firstly I fitted the Transom supports and Transom, I thought I needed these fitted for the planking measurements, but in fact I didn't. Care needs to be taken fitting the supports, as their natural position is to sit square to the Back Wall of the Stern (#50) but they need to sit at an angle, so they are in line with the slots on the side pieces. I took Mr T's advice and fitted Support Blocks under the top piece. I also had trouble gluing the Transom down, as it curves a the base but is flat at the top. I found the Ply was too thin to clamp safely, so I nailed it in place. I then dry fitted the remaining pieces, marked the limit of the planking and also added a line for the start of the Black section. I did this with a Red Pen, so I wouldn't get confused with all the other lines that I have marked on the Hull Then I cut and tapered Sapele planking to finish at this line. Then I switched to 0.5mm Black Boxwood Strip for the rest of the planking, this is Marquetry Wood and is Black all the way through, so can be sanded etc. Thanks again to Nigel for the 'heads up' on this.

She looks beautiful Andy When you sand the boxwood it goes a funny grey, but will return to as it was when you put finish on.Since buying the black boxwood,I have bought all sorts form OM and am mightily impressed with their products.Did you order enough black for the deck bulkheads?
